Concrete Entity in Legal Information Retrieval
The following is a basic concept of Concrete Entity in relation to information retrieval
. In addition to this, Concrete Entity may be applied to legal texts, including case law, legislation and scholarly works. Concrete entities are those one can see and touch (at least in theory), like persons, tables, chairs. Imaginary concrete entities such as unicorns, Paul Bunyan, angels and faeries (if they are imaginary), can play the same types of roles in messages as do concrete real entities, so for facet analysis, they can be considered a type of concrete entity.
